Today I finished a project – a new style guide for Strawberry Soapbox. The brand had been operating successfully for several years without a logo, mostly because it’s a wholesale/private label business. (Goat milk cream oil soap company).
But I’ve decided to take the business online another step further and really go balls to the wall with it. It’s got a unique niche with its recipe so I figured investing in the brand itself was worthwhile. So today is the unveiling of the new style guide!
I had some fun incorporating the green. It was a daring move, I know. But if you look close I also paired it with a rose gold semi-glitter color/texture (see color palette in the middle), and that seems to compliment it as well.
Surprisingly, I had pulled a plum color out of it, but it was just as dark as the red of the strawberry color, and I figured two dark colors might have been too much. So I opted for the mauve/pinkish color and stuck with the creme color to match the marble inspiration in the top graphic.
For fonts I chose a good standard – Latin Modern, and for a script I went with Amberlight and a bold Steelfish font choice.
NOW… as most of you know I installed a big-girl theme on my kerrielegend.com website yesterday. I’m looking at my theme for strawberrysoapbox.com and I’m just not in love with it. So it has to go. I think for productivity’s sake I’m going to have both sites operating on Sahifa from Themeforest.net.
I hope you enjoy it and maybe get some inspiration for your own project or brand. I have a style guide available for free – a download – under Free Stuff on the menu. Enjoy!
